Can you have intercourse with prostate cancer?

My uncle was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer and he's feeling very low, not just about the diagnosis but also worried about how it will affect his personal life. He asked me if it's still possible to have intercourse with this condition, and I wasn't sure how to answer.

Yes, you can, but it depends a lot on the stage of the cancer and what treatment is going on. I am not an expert, but from what I know of chronic hormonal conditions, our bodies need a lot of gentle care. It's best to discuss the physical comfort levels openly with your doctor.

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer ten years ago. Let me tell you, you can absolutely maintain a loving, physical relationship with your partner. The way you do things might change depending on your treatment, but don't lose heart, life and love do not stop after cancer.

Yes, it is generally safe and cannot spread to your partner, but check with your doctor if you are undergoing active radiation therapy.

Yes, you can, and keeping your pelvic floor muscles active through Kegel exercises can actually help improve blood flow and recovery. Just make sure to eat a highly clean, anti-inflammatory diet and listen to your body's energy levels after your treatments.

When I was getting treated at Medanta, my urologist clearly explained that intercourse is fine, but we must use protection if undergoing certain radiation treatments to protect the partner. You should ask your doctor clearly about the safety guidelines for your specific treatment stage.

My uncle had this and he was super stressed about it, but his doctor told him it's totally safe and normal. It doesn't harm the partner or anything. Guess we just don't talk about these things openly in India, but it's really nothing to be embarrassed about.
