Can you have intercourse with kidney stones?

I've been diagnosed with kidney stones and am experiencing intermittent pain. Does having kidney stones mean one should avoid intercourse, or is it generally fine?

When you have kidney stones, your entire urinary system is under deep stress. It is best to practice calming breathing exercises like Anulom Vilom and drink plenty of water instead of engaging in heavy physical activity. Let the stone pass naturally with peace and rest.

I literally passed an 8mm stone last month and tried to have intercourse when the pain was mild. Big mistake, it triggered a massive spasm and I was rolling on the floor in agony within ten minutes. Trust me, just wait until the stone is completely out.

Please get an ultrasound done to check the exact size of the stone first. I ignored my mild kidney stone ache, had intercourse, and the movement pushed the stone into the ureter, blocking my urine completely. It was an emergency situation, so please get it checked by a urologist.

In our times, we used to drink barley water (jau ka paani) and coconut water to help flush out the stones naturally. You should avoid heavy physical activities during this time as it can irritate the internal linings. Take complete rest and let the stone dissolve.

Haan bhai, agar dard nahi ho raha toh kar sakte ho, koi rok nahi hai. Par agar thoda sa bhi pain start ho toh turant peeche hat jana na. Zyada josh mein mat aana, kidney ka mamla hai thoda dhyan rakhna padta hai.

I completely understand how annoying kidney stones can be. If you are not in active pain, light intimacy is fine, but make sure to drink a lot of water before and urinate immediately after. Try drinking kulthi dal (horse gram) water daily to help break the stone down quickly.

From a medical standpoint, intercourse is generally safe if the stone is small and asymptomatic. Some studies even suggest that the release of nitric oxide during climax can relax the ureter and help pass small stones. However, if you have a stent or an active infection, avoid it and consult your doctor.

Please take care of yourself. If the stone is causing you any dull ache or discomfort, it is much better to rest and avoid any physical strain for a few days.

Yes, it is physically possible, but if you feel any pressure or pain in your lower back, stop immediately to avoid worsening the kidney spasm.

Technically you can, but honestly, who wants to think about romance when there is a tiny spiky rock trying to make its way out of your body? Save the energy for drinking gallons of water and running to the bathroom instead!
