Can you have hashimoto's with normal thyroid levels?

I've been feeling very tired, gaining weight, and my hair is falling out, which makes me think of thyroid issues. My doctor ran some tests, and my TSH levels came back normal. I heard about Hashimoto's; can you have it even if your standard thyroid levels appear normal?

Yeah, actually you can! My sister was diagnosed with Hashimoto's because her antibody tests were super high, but her actual T3, T4, and TSH levels were totally normal. It was so confusing for us at first but apparently it's pretty common in the early stages.

Haan ji bilkul ho sakta hai, isko euthyroid phase bolte hain na. Mere case mein bhi starting mein TSH bilkul normal tha par antibodies bohot badi hui thi. Apne doctor se baat karke regular check karwate rehna chahiye taaki bad mein problem na ho.

Yes, you can have high thyroid antibodies indicating Hashimoto's while your thyroid function tests are still normal. Don't ignore it just because the TSH is fine right now; get a yearly follow-up with your endocrinologist to track any changes.

I panicked like crazy when my blood report showed high anti-TPO antibodies even though my TSH was normal. But my doctor calmly explained that the thyroid gland is just being targeted by the immune system but is still working fine. It's totally manageable, so don't worry.

Yes, in the initial stages, the thyroid continues to function normally. Along with the medical supervision of your endocrinologist, practicing gentle yoga and managing stress can help support your immune health in the long run.
