Can you have flu without fever or cough?

During flu season, everyone talks about fevers and bad coughs. I've been feeling generally unwell, very tired and achy, but I don't have a fever or any cough. Can you still have the flu even if you don't have those typical symptoms?

Oh absolutely! Sometimes the flu decides to be polite and skip the dramatic high fever and loud coughing, leaving you with just a general feeling of being run over by a truck. Just rest up and enjoy binge-watching your favorite shows guilt-free!

Yes, it is very possible to just have extreme body ache, fatigue, and a mild sore throat without a fever. In such times, I always make a warm ginger-tulsi decoction (kadha) with a little honey. It gives great relief to the body, but do rest well.

Haan bhaiya, bilkul ho sakta hai. Sometimes there is no fever, but the whole body hurts and you feel very weak. Just drink warm water, eat simple khichdi, and don't sit under a direct fan or cooler for a few days.

Oh, this happens to me and I start overthinking if it's some other serious disease because there is no fever! But actually, the flu can just manifest as severe fatigue and muscle aches. Try to rest and please don't google too much, it only increases the panic.

Yes, you can. You don't need to panic and buy expensive multivitamin kits right away. Just take steam twice a day, stay hydrated with warm water, and give your body complete rest for two to three days. It usually passes on its own.

Yes! I am feeling exactly like this right now. No fever or coughing at all, but my bones are aching and I feel so dizzy and exhausted. Has anyone else experienced this exact same type of flu recently? It is so weird.

At my age, my body finds new ways to complain every day! Yes, you can definitely have the flu without a fever or cough—just pure, unadulterated laziness and body aches. Consider it nature's way of telling you to take a break from your daily chores.

Yes, flu strains can present differently. My mother always advises drinking warm pepper water (rasam) to clear any hidden congestion when we feel weak without a fever. But if the fatigue persists for more than four days, consulting a doctor is always the best path.

I completely understand how confusing it is to feel so sick and tired without having a fever to 'prove' you are ill. It makes you feel like you are just imagining it. But yes, a flu can definitely present with just severe body weakness and head heaviness.

I totally get it, feeling deeply exhausted and achy without any classic symptoms like a runny nose or fever is very draining. Your body is still fighting off a virus, so please don't push yourself to work. Just rest as much as possible today.
