Can you have endometriosis without pain?

My sister has endometriosis, and her periods are extremely painful. I've been trying to conceive for a while without success, and sometimes I wonder if I might have it too, but my periods are generally manageable, not excruciating. Is it possible to have endometriosis without experiencing severe pain?

Yes, absolutely. It is called 'silent endometriosis.' Many women have no idea they have it until they face issues conceiving and get an ultrasound or laparoscopy done. Pain levels don't always correlate with how severe the tissue growth is.

I panicked so much when my doctor mentioned the word endometriosis during a routine check, thinking I would end up with chronic, terrible pain. But she reassured me that some cases are completely painless and just need monitoring. It's been two years and I feel perfectly fine.

Yes, it is possible to have it without pain. Managing my thyroid has taught me that hormonal and reproductive issues can be very silent. Please make sure to get regular pelvic scans and keep in touch with your gynecologist to monitor any changes.

I completely understand how confusing it is to hear you might have a condition when you feel absolutely no pain. It makes you doubt your own body. Just know that your feelings are valid, and it is very common to have silent endo without the typical severe cramps.

Oh dear, this makes me so anxious! The thought of having something like endometriosis inside without even knowing because there is no pain is scary. If you have any doubts, please talk to a gentle gynecologist who can explain everything clearly so you don't overthink.

Hey girl, don't stress too much about this! Yes, silent endo is a real thing, but if you don't have pain, that's actually a blessing. Just keep up with your regular annual checkups and enjoy your life without worrying about what-ifs!
