Can you have eczema inside your mouth?

I usually get eczema patches on my skin, but recently, I've noticed some irritation and dry, flaky spots inside my mouth. It feels very uncomfortable. I was wondering if eczema can appear in unusual places like inside the mouth.

Man, as if having eczema on the skin wasn't exhausting enough! Honestly, classic eczema doesn't usually happen inside the mouth, it is mostly a skin thing. If you have sores inside, it might just be painful canker sores from lack of sleep like I always get.

In all my years hearing about skin issues in this community, true eczema inside the mouth is extremely rare. It is usually an allergic reaction to toothpaste, a dental filling, or oral thrush. Please let a dentist or doctor have a look to be sure.

True eczema is on the outer skin, but mouth irritation can happen due to excess internal heat or acidity. Gently rinsing your mouth with cool water or chewing on a organic tulsi leaf can help soothe the delicate inner lining naturally.

I highly doubt it is eczema inside the mouth. Instead of wasting time researching obscure skin conditions online, just book a quick doctor consult. It is likely just a common mouth ulcer or an allergy that can be treated with a simple gel.

Technically, classic eczema affects the outer skin, but you can get conditions like oral lichen planus which feel very similar. I track my daily water intake and nutrition on my app, and keeping hydrated plus avoiding very spicy foods usually helps calm mouth irritation.
