Can you have bronchitis without a fever?

I've had a really bad cough and chest congestion for the last few days, but I don't have any fever. My family said it might be bronchitis. Can you have bronchitis without a fever?

When I had bronchitis last year, I only had a deep chest rattle and a very bad cough, but never ran a fever. It took a long time to clear up with rest and warm fluids, but everyone's body reacts differently.

Yes, you can absolutely have bronchitis without any fever. I had a persistent hacking cough for three weeks last winter and my temp was perfectly normal. Don't wait around, just see a doctor and get it treated.

Yes! My roommate had this last month and she thought it was just a regular cold because there was no fever. It turned out to be bronchitis. Drinking warm water and using a steam inhaler helped her breathe much better.

My grandmother used to give us warm pepper milk for deep chest coughs. While that helps soothe the throat, you must consult a doctor if the cough persists, even if there is no fever at all.

I've had bronchitis twice and neither time did I run a fever. Focus on keeping your airways moist with steam inhalation three times a day and avoid cold drinks completely. If you feel any chest pain, go straight to the clinic.

I was researching this online because my dad has a bad cough but no temperature. Apparently, chronic bronchitis and even mild viral acute bronchitis often present with zero fever. It is quite common.

Look, fever is not mandatory for bronchitis. If you have a deep, painful cough with mucus, just go to a doctor instead of guessing. A simple checkup will clear everything up.
