Can you have a tia and never have a stroke?

I had a TIA a few months ago, and my doctor explained it's a warning sign. I'm now very worried about having a full stroke. I wanted to ask, is it possible to have a TIA and then never actually go on to have a major stroke?

Yes, absolutely! A TIA is a major warning sign, but if you start your blood thinners and manage your blood pressure immediately under a doctor's guidance, you can definitely prevent a full stroke.

It is highly possible to avoid a stroke after a TIA, but you must be very strict. For me, keeping my HbA1c below 6.5 and cutting down on deep-fried food and sweets made a huge difference in my vascular health.

A TIA is basically your brain giving you a second chance. Don't waste time on forums; book an appointment with a top neurologist, get your carotid artery test done, and follow their prescription strictly.

Even if the symptoms of a TIA disappear within minutes, you are still at very high risk for a major stroke in the following days. Please get admitted or checked at a proper hospital emergency room immediately for your own safety.

I ignored a brief spell of slurred speech last year thinking it was just exhaustion, and I ended up in the ICU a week later. Please do not make my mistake. Treat a TIA as a massive emergency and get a complete neurological checkup immediately.
