Can you have a stroke and not realize it?

My elderly father has been more forgetful lately, and I worry about his health. I've read about silent strokes. Is it possible for someone to have a stroke and not even realize what happened?

Yes, silent strokes can happen and we won't even realize it. For everyday control, keep a simple blood pressure machine at home and check your levels weekly. It is a cheap and practical way to keep an eye on your cardiovascular health.

Absolutely, it's called a silent brain infarction. It is often only discovered incidentally during an MRI scan for some other issue. If you have a family history of stroke, don't wait for symptoms to show up—get a preemptive health checkup.

Yes, silent strokes are a real medical phenomenon. Since hormonal issues like PCOS can sometimes elevate cardiovascular risks, I always stay cautious and get regular blood tests. Please consult a doctor to understand your personal risk factors.

Actually yaar, silent strokes are super stealthy. You won't feel a thing but it leaves a tiny scar on the brain. If you are experiencing sudden unexplained dizziness, don't ignore it thinking it is just heat or acidity, get it checked.

As someone managing high blood pressure for ten years, I can tell you that silent strokes are very common in hypertensive patients. You must keep your BP under control with proper medication, regular salt-restricted diet, and doctor visits.

Yes, you can, and it can lead to complications later like vascular dementia or a bigger stroke. My family member ignored mild slurring and we regretted it deeply. Please get a proper neurological evaluation done by a professional.
