Can you have a mini stroke and not know it?

My memory isn't as sharp as it used to be, and sometimes I feel a bit dizzy for a moment. My neighbor had a mini-stroke recently and he didn't realize it for some time. Can you have a mini-stroke, or TIA, and not even know that it happened?

My uncle had temporary slurring and weakness in his arm, and we tried giving him warm ginger water thinking it was just some gastric or nerve weakness. Looking back, we were so foolish because those symptoms went away in minutes but it was actually a warning sign. Don't rely on home remedies for such serious things.

Absolutely, it is called a TIA or a mini stroke. The symptoms can resolve in just a few minutes, making people think they just got tired or dizzy. Do not ignore even a temporary numbness; seek immediate medical attention.

I once felt a sudden numbness in my left hand while reading, and I ignored it thinking I just slept on it wrong. A few weeks later I had a much bigger health scare that landed me in the ICU. Please, if you feel any sudden weakness, drop everything and see a doctor.

It is so frightening because you start doubting your own body. I had a moment of confusion and couldn't speak properly for two minutes, and I was so anxious and scared to tell anyone. Please know you are not alone, and getting it checked is the only way to feel safe.

Don't go by what people write on forums or suggest using home remedies for strokes. A mini stroke is a medical emergency that only an MRI or a proper neurologist can confirm. Go to a hospital emergency room immediately.
