Can you have a kidney infection without a fever?

I've had some discomfort and burning sensation lately, which makes me think it might be a kidney issue. But I haven't had any fever. Is it possible to have a kidney infection without developing a fever?

Honestly, yes, and it is so scary because you keep thinking it is just a backache. I spent days crying and feeling extremely weak, thinking I was just burning out from work. When the doctor finally diagnosed it, I was shocked that there was no fever at all.

Yes, absolutely possible. My 10-year-old son had a severe infection but his temperature was completely normal the whole time, only his lower back hurt and he was refusing to eat. Don't wait for a fever to develop if you suspect something is wrong with the kidneys.

Haan, bilkul ho sakta hai babu. Hamare pados me ek bhaiya ko hua tha, unhe bukhar toh bilkul nahi tha par peshab me bahut dard aur peeth me bhari jalan thi. Aap isko halke me mat lo aur bade doctor ko dikha lo ek baar.

Puttar, fever is not always necessary for infections. In our days, we used to drink barley water (jau ka paani) and keep ourselves hydrated to flush out toxins. But for kidneys, home remedies are only secondary, so always consult a real doctor first.

I just got over this last month, trust me, my body temp was totally fine. I only had this dull, constant ache on my left side and felt extremely nauseous. Do not ignore it thinking 'fever nahi hai toh sab normal hai', go get a test.

Actually yaor, many people think fever compulsory hai but that is a myth. My roomie had this crazy lower back pain and we thought gym injury hai, but it turned out to be a kidney issue with zero fever. Better check with a doctor before it gets worse.

Haan na, fever aana zaroori nahi hota kidney issues me. Mujhe bhi bas weakness aur ajeeb si thakan lag rahi thi, temperature normal tha. Aise me doctor se consult karna hi best option hai, risk nahi lene ka.

Yes, you can. Sometimes the body reacts differently and doesn't show a high temperature right away. Please take rest and get a doctor's opinion soon to be safe.

Totally possible. Often we fitness folks think it is just a muscle pull from heavy deadlifts, especially when there is no fever. Hydration is super key, but if the pain is deep and doesn't feel like muscle soreness, pause your training and see a doc.

Yes, absolutely! Fever isn't always the main culprit. Sometimes it's just nausea or pain. Drink lots of water and please get a quick checkup done to clear your mind. Stay happy and take care!
