Can you have a hemiplegic migraine without the headache?

I've been diagnosed with hemiplegic migraines. Sometimes I get the weakness and visual disturbances, but without the throbbing headache. I wanted to confirm if you can have a hemiplegic migraine attack without actually getting the headache part?

Yes, it is possible, and it's called an acephalgic or silent migraine. It can be super scary because you feel weakness or numbness on one side of your body without any actual headache. Don't panic, but please make sure you see a neurologist to rule out anything else.

Beta, any numbness or weakness in the body should not be taken lightly. Keeping your mind calm and drinking warm herbal water can help with general nerve health, but for these specific symptoms, you must visit a proper neurologist without delay.

It is possible, yes. Just like my thyroid issues, these neurological conditions can have very silent and confusing symptoms. Please make sure you get regular checkups and follow up with a specialist to get a proper diagnosis.

Whoa, I didn't even know you could get a migraine without a headache! That sounds super confusing. If you are experiencing weakness on one side, please go to a clinic and get it checked out by a professional.

Yeah, actually my cousin has this. He suddenly gets numb on his left side and gets blurry vision, but his head doesn't hurt at all. He had to run a bunch of brain scans to confirm it was a silent hemiplegic migraine, so definitely get it checked.

I was just reading about this on a medical forum. Apparently, migraine aura and motor weakness can happen entirely on their own without the actual headache phase. It's crazy how complex neurological issues can be.

Yes, you can have neurological symptoms without the pain, but as someone with high BP, I must tell you that one-sided weakness can also be a sign of a stroke. You should get your blood pressure checked immediately and consult a doctor to be safe.
