Can you have a heart attack without blockage?

My recent angiography showed no significant blockages, which was a relief. But I still have some lingering chest sensations. Can a person actually have a heart attack even if there's no major blockage in their arteries?

Yes, it can happen due to sudden spasms in the blood vessels, often triggered by severe mental stress. Please keep your mind calm, stay positive, and practice daily meditation to protect your physical and spiritual heart. God bless you.

Please do not take this lightly. I once ignored severe chest tightness thinking it couldn't be a heart issue since my previous scans showed zero blockages. It turned out to be a coronary artery spasm, a type of attack. Please get checked immediately if you have symptoms.

Yeah, actually you can. My fitness trainer had this happen last year and the doctors called it a spasm of the artery. No blockages at all, just sudden clamping of the blood vessel because of intense stress and lack of sleep. Quite crazy.

I completely understand how terrifying and confusing this sounds, especially if you have had a clear angiogram and still feel symptoms. Yes, conditions like coronary spasms or microvascular disease can cause attacks without major blockages. Your fear is completely valid, please discuss these specific tests with your cardiologist.

This is so scary to think about because we always believe 'no blockages = safe'. I read about heart spasms and now I constantly worry about it happening to me. If you have any chest pain, please don't ignore it thinking you are safe, just visit a doctor to be sure.
