Can you have a heart attack and not realize it?

My father experienced some chest pain and indigestion for a few days, but he brushed it off. Later, doctors said it might have been a mild heart attack. Can you have a heart attack and not realize it's happening at the time?

Yes, silent heart attacks are actually quite common and people often mistake them for bad indigestion. Since I have high BP, my cardiologist made me promise never to ignore unusual fatigue or jaw pain. Doing regular yearly checkups and blood tests is the only way to catch these silent issues.

My uncle actually went through this. He just felt slightly off and sweaty for a couple of days but kept working normally. Later during a health checkup, his doctor found out he had a minor heart attack. Bro, don't take body signals lightly, get checked.

I remember panicking so badly last year thinking I was having a silent attack because of sudden left arm pain. I rushed to the clinic and it turned out to be a simple muscle spasm from sleeping weirdly. While it is good to be aware, don't let anxiety make you think every small pain is a heart attack.

Since managing my PCOS, I have realized how tricky our bodies can be with silent symptoms. A relative of mine had a silent attack and only felt a bit of back pain and fatigue. It is always better to get a medical expert's opinion instead of guessing or worrying at home.

We often drink ginger water or take a bit of hing for chest discomfort, thinking it is just gastric. But if you feel unexplained sweating, coldness, or discomfort spreading to your left shoulder, skip the home remedies. Go straight to an emergency room.

Yaar, sometimes after a heavy plate of Chole Bhature, I get such bad chest heaviness that I start worrying if it is a silent attack or just the ghee! Honestly, we really need to balance our deep-fried cravings with some light walks. If the heaviness doesn't pass after some time, it is definitely better to see a doctor.
