Can you have a heart attack and not know it?

My elderly aunt recently had a check-up, and the doctor mentioned she had signs of a previous heart attack, which surprised us all as she never complained. Is it really possible to have a heart attack and not even know it happened?

I was reading about this online and got quite scared. Is it really true that a silent heart attack feels just like simple acidity or gas? How do we actually differentiate between a normal stomach issue and something so serious?

Yes, silent heart attacks are a real thing, especially in diabetic patients. I always visit a proper hospital for annual health packages instead of guessing at home. It is best to ask a cardiologist to explain the warning signs so you can protect your family.

Usually, we try drinking warm ajwain water or warm milk for gas, which helps. But if you have chest heaviness along with sudden cold sweat or jaw pain, don't sit at home trying remedies. In those cases, you must run to a doctor immediately to be safe.

This is actually called a silent myocardial infarction, and it happens quite often without severe chest-crushing pain. People might just feel unusually tired, short of breath, or slightly dizzy. If you have risk factors like diabetes or BP, you should be very careful.

I used to think every chest pain is just gastric and tried jeera water for years. But my neighbor had a silent attack and only found out later during a routine ECG checkup. Please don't assume everything is just a simple stomach issue, getting checked is very important.

My teenage son had sudden chest discomfort that we almost ignored thinking it was just exam stress or muscle pull. But we took him to the pediatrician just in case, and thankfully it was just muscle pain, but the doctor told us silent issues can happen. It is always better to be safe and get a professional opinion.

Hey, don't panic too much reading all this on the internet, okay? Just pay attention to how your body feels during normal work or walking. If you ever feel sudden breathlessness or extreme fatigue that doesn't go away, just go get an ECG done to clear your mind.
