Can you have a fever without a temperature?

Since yesterday, I've been feeling so hot and shivery, like I have a fever. But jab check kiya, the thermometer says normal, 98.6°F. Is it possible to *feel* feverish even if there's no actual temperature reading, like a 'fever without a temperature'?

Feeling feverish without a high reading on the thermometer is quite common, but please don't ignore it. It's always safest to get a doctor's opinion to rule out any internal infection.

You can definitely experience chills or feel feverish due to fatigue or hormonal shifts, even if the thermometer shows normal. However, a doctor's clinical evaluation is the best way to understand what is happening.

Yes, feeling feverish without a real temperature happens to many of us. Rest well and keep yourself hydrated today.

I totally get it, it is so frustrating when you feel burning hot inside but the thermometer says you are fine. Sometimes it's just sheer exhaustion or dehydration. Please take rest.

Yes, it is usually just fatigue from long working hours. Drink water, take a good night's sleep, and if you still feel warm tomorrow, just visit a clinic.

Yes, many times we just feel warm inside. Try drinking a glass of fresh coconut water and sitting under a fan for a bit; usually it's just body heat.

Yes, simple physical fatigue or dehydration after a workout can make you feel feverish. Keep yourself hydrated, and maybe just stick to light walking if your doctor says it is fine.
