Can you have a fever with a migraine?

I've been suffering from severe migraines for years, and sometimes when they're really bad, I feel very hot and shivery. I've never actually checked my temperature though. Is it possible to have a low-grade fever along with a migraine attack?

Usually migraine does not cause a fever. Before going for expensive neurological tests, please consult a basic GP first to see if the fever is just from a common viral infection.

Typically, migraine and fever don't go together. My mother always says to lie down in a dark room, but since there is a fever, you must consult a doctor to rule out any infection.

A standard migraine does not cause a fever. If you have both, it is likely you have a viral infection triggering the headache, so go get checked by a doctor.

Please don't worry, but do take this seriously. A fever is not a typical migraine symptom, so it's best to have a doctor check you over just to be safe. Rest well.

Look, migraine is just a headache. If you have a fever too, it could be a sinus infection or something else. Don't sit at home, go see a doctor.

Haan na, usually fever doesn't happen with migraine. Better to consult your family doctor once to be completely sure what is causing it, ho na.
