Can you have a fever with a cold virus?

My little one has a cold virus, with all the usual sniffles and cough. Now she's also running a slight fever. I thought viral colds usually didn't have high temperatures. Is it common to have a fever with a cold virus?

Arre, don't stress too much! It is super common to get a small fever when you catch a cold. Just wrap up and drink some warm soup.

Yes, absolutely. A mild fever is just the body's natural defense mechanism fighting off the cold virus. Keep monitoring it and take paracetamol if it goes too high.

I was just reading about this online because I have both right now! Turns out even normal cold viruses can trigger a mild fever in many people.

Yes, of course. A low-grade fever is a classic symptom when your body fights any respiratory viral infection.

I am experiencing this for the first time. Is a 99.5 fever normal with a cold, or should I go to the clinic immediately?

I totally get it, dealing with a fever and blocked nose together is so exhausting. Yes, it happens quite often, please take deep rest.

I totally understand how scary it feels when you suddenly run a fever with a cold. But trust me, it is extremely common and normal.

In my experience of so many years, a mild fever with a cold is nothing to worry about. Just do some salt water gargles and rest.

Yes, it is possible. But if the fever is very high, it is always safer to visit a good hospital and ask your doctor clearly about the diagnosis.
