Can you hallucinate from a fever?

Last night, my son had a really high fever, and he was talking to people who weren't there and seeing things. It was very scary for us. Can a high fever cause someone, especially a child, to hallucinate?

Yes, high fevers can sometimes cause hallucinations, especially in young children or elderly people. However, this is a serious symptom that needs immediate medical attention to rule out infections like meningitis. Please consult a doctor or go to an emergency room right away.

Haan, fever dreams aur hallucinations ho sakte hain jab dimaag bohot garam ho jata hai. But isko lightly mat lo na. Agar temperature 102-103 se upar ja raha hai, toh doctor ke paas jana hi sabse sahi option hai.

When my fever shot up very high last year, I felt extremely disoriented. It is a sign that the body is under immense stress, similar to how high blood pressure affects the head. You must get a proper checkup to find the source of the fever rather than waiting at home.

Hey, don't stress too much, it is actually quite common to see weird dreams or even mild hallucinations when your temperature is super high. Just put a damp cloth on the forehead to bring the temperature down and make sure you call a doctor to get the right medicine.

At my age, a mild temperature makes me feel like I am talking to my ancestors, so yes, high fevers can definitely make you hallucinate. Jokes aside, if someone is seeing things that aren't there, their temperature is too high. Get them medical help immediately to cool things down.

Look, if the fever is making someone see things, it is already in the danger zone. Stop searching online and wasting time. Give them paracetamol as prescribed by a doc, put wet strips on their head, and take them to a clinic right away.

In my experience with thyroid imbalances, sudden spikes in body temperature can really mess with your cognitive function. If you are experiencing hallucinations with a fever, it means your body is struggling. Please follow up with your doctor and get blood tests done to find the cause.

Don't listen to people telling you it is just a normal 'fever dream' and to ignore it. Hallucinations during a fever can indicate severe infections or neurological stress. Skip the internet forums and take the patient to a hospital immediately for a proper evaluation.
