Can you get veneers with gum disease?

I've been thinking about getting dental veneers to improve my smile. However, my dentist mentioned that I have some mild gum inflammation. Can I still get veneers if I have gum disease, or do I need to fix that first?

I was looking into getting veneers recently and found out that dentists will absolutely not place them if you have active gum disease. The infection has to be fully treated first, otherwise the veneers can fail or make the disease worse. Definitely get a proper dental cleanup done first.

Because of my thyroid, I often suffer from dry mouth and gum sensitivity, so I am very cautious about dental procedures. You should definitely get your gums fully treated and healthy before thinking about veneers. Regular dental follow-ups are a must.

Haan na, you cannot get veneers directly if there is gum swelling or infection. The dentist will first do scaling and deep cleaning to make your gums healthy. Once everything is healed, then only you can plan for veneers safely.

Actually yaar, putting veneers on weak gums is like building a house on wet mud. Your gums need to be super healthy first. Just go to a good dental clinic, get the gum disease treated, and then go ahead with the veneers.

Please be very careful. I tried to rush into a cosmetic dental procedure while ignoring mild gum bleeding, and it led to a severe infection that took months to heal. You absolutely must see a qualified periodontist to treat the gum disease completely before touching veneers.

Hey, don't worry too much, but you need to prioritize your oral health first. No good dentist will put veneers on unhealthy gums because they need a strong foundation to sit on. Just get your gum treatment done first, and then you can safely go for the cosmetic stuff.

I really want to get veneers for my front teeth, but my gums bleed sometimes when I brush. I'm so anxious that the dentist will reject me or that it will ruin my teeth permanently. Has anyone else gone through gum treatment before getting veneers?
