Can you get type 2 diabetes at any age?

I always thought Type 2 diabetes was an 'old person's disease,' but lately, I've heard about younger people getting it. My father has Type 2, and I'm worried. Can someone really get Type 2 diabetes at any age, even in their 20s or 30s?

Yes, Type 2 diabetes can definitely happen at any age now, even in young children and teenagers. It is best to get a fasting blood sugar test done to check your levels.

With the amount of stress and late-night junk food we consume, I wouldn't be surprised if anyone gets it at any age. I'm practically living on coffee and anxiety, which my doc says is a recipe for disaster. Please get checked if you are feeling chronically tired.

I got diagnosed with Type 2 at just 22, so yes, age doesn't matter anymore. It was a huge wake-up call for me to fix my lazy lifestyle and eating habits. Don't assume you are safe just because you are young; get your HbA1c checked.

Absolutely, the age barrier for Type 2 diabetes has completely broken down due to modern sedentary lifestyles. We are seeing teenagers getting diagnosed in metros today. Go to a good diagnostic lab, get your blood panel done, and speak to a physician immediately.

Yes, you can get it at any age. Since I have a thyroid condition, my doctor always insists on checking my blood sugar regularly too because metabolic issues can overlap. Routine checkups are the only way to catch these things early.
