Can you get tested for dengue fever?

Since last week, I've been feeling feverish with body ache and a headache. My neighbour recently had dengue, so I'm a bit concerned. Should I go for a test?

Yes, definitely you can. When I had a bad fever last year, my family made me get the NS1 antigen test on the second day itself. It is a simple blood test and the report comes quite fast, so don't delay it if you have high fever.

Yes, a simple blood test can confirm it. Please do not worry, just book a home collection from any good lab. Eat well and take rest while you wait for the results.

Yes, labs do specific tests like Dengue IgM/IgG and CBC. I had severe dengue with internal bleeding and it was quite scary, so I always tell people to consult a doctor first. Let a proper physician evaluate your symptoms and order the correct blood panel.

Arre absolutely, any lab will do a home sample collection for dengue. I had to get it done at 6 AM after a sleepless night of shivering and checking my temperature. Better to get poked by a needle once than stay awake worrying all night, trust me.

I completely understand how stressful it is to sit and worry about these symptoms. Honestly, getting the blood test done is the best way to quieten that anxiety. Once you get the actual reports, you and your doctor can take the right steps instead of just overthinking.

I panicked like crazy when my sister got high fever and we rushed to get a dengue test. Turns out it was just a regular viral fever and she got fine in three days. Getting tested is very normal and helps clear the confusion, so just get it done calmly.

Please go and get the test done immediately. I made the mistake of ignoring a mild fever thinking it was normal flu, and my platelets dropped dangerously low before I finally rushed to the hospital. Don't play around with these things, get checked.

My son had high fever last month and we got his dengue test done on day 3. The labs usually give reports on the same day. It is better to get tested early so you can manage their hydration and temperature properly without any guesswork.

Yes, you can easily get a dengue blood panel done. If it comes positive, please just rest and don't force yourself to do any workouts or heavy walking. Only start light movement or gentle strolls once your doctor gives you a clear go-ahead after checking your platelets.

You can get a CBC and dengue antigen test done very easily. As someone managing high BP, I know how important it is to keep track of basic health parameters through regular tests. Keep hydated, monitor your vitals, and let your family doctor guide you on the next steps.

Yes child, go to a good laboratory nearby and give your blood sample. Along with the doctor's medicine, you can have fresh coconut water and warm papaya leaf juice if your elders make it at home. But first, get the clinical report done to know what the issue is.

Haan na, you can easily get tested at any local lab. Fever and body pain are spreading so much these days, it is better to be safe. Just ask your doc which test is needed, mostly they do NS1 or PCR depending on how many days of fever you have.
