Can you get skin cancer on your lips?

I have a small, non-healing sore on my lower lip that's been there for weeks, and it worries me. I know sun exposure affects skin. Can skin cancer also develop on the lips, especially for someone who spends time outdoors?

Yes, the lips are very sensitive and constantly exposed to the sun's energy, which can cause skin issues including cancer. In my yoga classes, I always suggest keeping the body hydrated and using natural lip balms with sun protection. Stay gentle with your body.

Yes, skin cancer can happen on the lips. Getting biopsies done in private labs can get quite expensive, so it is better to prevent it early by using an SPF lip balm which costs just 100-200 rupees. If you see any persistent sore, visit a government hospital dermat department for affordable checks.

Dealing with PCOS has made me realize how sensitive our skin can be to environmental changes. Yes, lip cancer is real, especially from sun damage. I am always cautious about any new spots or peeling on my lips, and I think it is best to get any unusual lip sore checked by a doctor.

Wait, is this really possible? I have had a dry, peeling spot on my bottom lip for almost a month now and reading about lip cancer is making me super anxious. Has anyone else experienced a stubborn lip sore that turned out to be nothing? I think I need to book a doctor appointment.

Yes, lip cancer is a type of skin cancer. My health app recently had an article about neglected areas of sun protection, and lips were right at the top. I bought a lip balm with SPF 30 now, which I track as part of my morning skincare routine.
