Can you get sick from no sleep?

For the past few months, my sleep schedule has been very irregular, and I often get only 3-4 hours of sleep. I've been feeling generally unwell and getting frequent headaches. Can severe lack of sleep actually make you sick?

Drinking warm chamomile tea or warm milk with a pinch of nutmeg before bed helps a lot with restlessness. But if you have constant insomnia that is making you feel very weak, you must consult a doctor.

I used to pull all-nighters for office work and ended up getting a severe migraine and nausea every single time. Your body literally rebels when it doesn't get rest, so please make sleep a priority.

No sleep directly wrecks your focus and immune system, which reduces your productivity anyway. It is far more efficient to sleep for 7 hours and work with a fresh mind than to drag yourself around half-sick.

In our clinic, we see many patients with weakened immune responses directly linked to chronic sleep deprivation. Please consult a sleep specialist or your general physician if this is an ongoing issue.

I was reading a research paper that said even one night of zero sleep increases inflammatory markers in your blood. It is crazy how quickly the body reacts when it doesn't get its downtime.

With a newborn baby, I haven't slept properly in months and I honestly feel like a walking zombie. I get minor sniffles and headaches every second week now, so yes, lack of sleep definitely makes you sick.

Hey, your body is telling you it needs a break. No sleep lowers your defenses and makes you highly susceptible to catching colds or infections, so please switch off your screens and rest.

Don't listen to people telling you to just take random herbal sleeping pills or powders. If you are experiencing prolonged sleep deprivation and feeling sick, go get a proper clinical checkup immediately.

Yes, zero sleep causes acidity and high blood pressure. Keep your dinner light, avoid tea or coffee after 6 PM, and keep your phone in another room; these simple habits really work for better sleep.
