Can you get scarlet fever more than once?

My daughter had scarlet fever a couple of years ago, and now her younger brother has similar symptoms. Does having it once mean you're immune, or is it possible to catch scarlet fever again, especially from someone else in the family?

Yes, you can get it again because there are different strains of the bacteria. Keep your physical activity low and focus on basic walks only once your doctor says it is safe and your fever has fully resolved.

My grandmother used to say once you get such rashes you become immune, but modern doctors say you can actually catch scarlet fever again. It is always best to finish the full course of antibiotics prescribed by your pediatrician.

Bacterial infections like this can recur and they really mess with blood sugar levels due to the stress on the body. If you have diabetes, keep a close track of your readings and stay in touch with your physician.

Yes, my neighbour's kid got it twice in two years. Best solution is to isolate the sick child, change their toothbrush after recovery, and keep their utensils completely separate to avoid reinfection in the family.

Oh yes, unfortunately you can get it more than once! Just make sure to keep your immunity high and wash hands frequently to keep those nasty bugs away.

You can definitely get it twice if exposed to a different bacterial strain. Don't waste time waiting for it to clear up on its own; get a throat swab done immediately so you can start the right treatment and get back to work.

Yes, it is possible to get infected again. Along with the doctor's medicine, practicing gentle deep breathing and keeping the throat warm with warm tulsi water helps the body heal gently.
