Can you get rheumatoid arthritis in your back?

I've been experiencing persistent lower back pain and stiffness for months, which is worse in the mornings. Someone suggested it might be related to arthritis. Can rheumatoid arthritis affect the spine or back region?

Haan, RA can affect the spine, especially the neck area. I tried hot fomentation, ginger tea, and many herbal pastes which gave temporary relief, but honestly, you still need proper medical treatment to stop the pain.

I completely understand how terrifying back pain can be, especially when you start worrying about long-term diseases like arthritis. Yes, RA can affect the spine, but please get a proper diagnosis from a rheumatologist to be sure.

It can affect the back, yes. Doing light stretching and applying warm sesame oil can soothe the stiff muscles. But if you have severe pain or numbness, please see a doctor immediately, as spine issues need expert care.

Haan na, back pain is so annoying, and if it is RA, it gets very stiff in the morning. People often think it is just normal muscle catch, but we should not ignore it. Better to consult a specialist soon.

Yes, rheumatoid arthritis can manifest in the spine. Practicing very gentle yoga stretches like Marjariasana under proper guidance can help maintain spine flexibility. Always listen to your body and don't force any movement.

Ugh, a bad back makes sitting in a restaurant so difficult! Yes, RA can hit your spine. Trying anti-inflammatory foods like turmeric milk might give some minor relief while you wait for your doctor's appointment.

I am experiencing constant stiffness in my upper back and neck. Is back pain a common symptom of RA, or does it usually start in the fingers and hands first? If anyone has gone through this, please let me know.
