Can you get psoriasis on your lips?

My lips have been extremely dry and peeling for weeks, and there are some reddish patches that look different from normal chapped lips. I'm worried it might be something more serious. Can psoriasis affect the lips?

Yes, you can actually get psoriasis on your lips! 😮 It is quite rare but it can cause peeling and cracking. Just keep using a very mild, fragrance-free lip balm to protect them!

Yes, oral and lip psoriasis exists. Since you use your mouth constantly for talking and eating, don't let it linger. Get a quick doctor's consult this weekend to get a safe, non-toxic ointment.

Actually, it is quite rare, yaar, but yes it can happen. People often confuse it with normal winter chapping or cheilitis. Better to get it checked by a skin specialist instead of applying random lip scrubs.

Yes, it can happen and it feels so uncomfortable, like extreme chapped lips that never go away. I found that avoiding spicy food and using plain petroleum jelly helped a lot, but definitely show it to a dermatologist.

I panicked so much when my lips started flaking and bleeding, thinking it was some major infection. It was just a localized flare-up. Once my dermatologist diagnosed it and gave a mild cream, it cleared up beautifully, so relax.
