Can you get pregnant with ovarian cancer?

A relative of mine recently received a diagnosis of ovarian cancer, and she's very distressed as she wanted to have another child. We are all trying to understand the situation. Can you get pregnant with ovarian cancer?

Honestly, health stuff can get so stressful that it completely ruins your appetite. But on a serious note, ovarian cancer is very complex and depends a lot on the treatment and stage. Many treatments like surgery or chemo can impact fertility, so please consult a good gynac or oncologist before thinking of anything else.

Listen, please don't let Google search scare you to death right now. Pregnancy and cancer treatments are highly delicate matters, and only your specialist can tell you what is safe for your body. Take a deep breath, write down your doubts, and discuss fertility preservation with your doc.

We need to look at this practically and sit down with a specialist to understand the exact treatment plan first. If the doctor says fertility can be saved, then plan your finances for egg freezing or IVF early on. Don't waste time on random internet advice, straight go to a good government or private hospital.

Just like how we have to balance our daily diet and sugar levels carefully, managing fertility during cancer needs extreme medical supervision. It is possible in some early cases where only one ovary is affected, but it is super risky to assume anything. You must have a detailed chat with your doctor.

I completely understand the emotional storm you must be going through right now, it is so heavy. When I was looking into this, I felt so lost and scared. Please know that there are advanced options today like egg freezing, but you need a very compassionate doctor to guide you through this journey.

My cousin went through this a couple of years back. It really depends on whether they have to remove one ovary or both during the surgery. She managed to freeze her eggs before her main treatment started, so definitely ask your doctor about those options immediately.
