Can you get pcos later in life?

I'm in my late thirties and never had any issues with my periods or hormones before. But lately, I've noticed some changes that sound like PCOS symptoms. Is it possible to get PCOS later in life, like in your 30s or 40s?

My sister actually got diagnosed at 34, so yeah, it can happen later. She had absolutely perfect periods her whole life and then suddenly gained weight and got facial hair. So it is not just a teenage thing.

Absolutely! It can show up later in your 30s too. 😊 The body keeps changing, so don't feel down about it. With some lifestyle tweaks and doctor's guidance, you can manage it beautifully!

Haan na, life is so unpredictable. My colleague got it at 38 after her second child. We always assume it happens only to young girls, but hormonal balance can shift anytime due to stress or age, ho na. Better to check with doc.

I didn't know this was possible. I thought PCOS is something you are born with. Can a sudden change in daily diet or shifting to a new city also trigger this late-stage hormonal imbalance? I am a bit confused.

My wife got diagnosed at 36, right when we were dealing with our toddler's sleep strikes. Between sleepless nights and sudden weight gain, we thought it was just exhaustion, but it was late-onset PCOS. Hormones have a very weird sense of timing.

Yes, hormonal imbalances can occur at any stage when lifestyle changes. I have seen many women in their late 30s struggle with this. Doing regular pranayama like Anulom Vilom and gentle yoga stretches daily can really help balance the system naturally.

I know how stressful it is when your body suddenly changes out of nowhere in your late thirties. It makes you feel so anxious. Yes, you can get diagnosed later in life, usually due to metabolic shifts or high stress levels.
