Can you get pain from sensory overload?

Sometimes in crowded places or when there's too much noise, I feel completely overwhelmed and even start getting physical pain. I heard the term 'sensory overload' recently. Can you actually get pain from sensory overload?

Bro, yes! Whenever I am in a super crowded metro with loud music and bright lights, my head literally starts throbbing. It feels like actual physical pain after a point.

Honestly, if my neighbor plays loud music one more time while I am sleep-deprived, my entire body is going to revolt. Sensory overload makes even my hair hurt, it is very real.

Yes, if your brain is constantly bombarded with noise and screens, it will react with physical headaches or neck tension. Put your phone away, sit in a dark room, and give your mind some quiet time.

When the mind is overstimulated, the nervous system gets tense, leading to physical body aches. Doing 10 minutes of Shavasana or deep breathing in a quiet corner can help release this accumulated tension.

Working in open offices with constant chatter used to give me physical tension headaches. Investing in good noise-cancelling headphones was a total game-changer for my physical health.

Yes, sensory overload can trigger severe migraines or neuropathic pain. When my symptoms worsened, my doctor helped me identify sensory triggers, so please consult a professional if the pain persists.
