Can you get ovarian cancer without ovaries?

A few years ago, I had both my ovaries removed due to a medical condition. My doctor explained everything, but I still get worried sometimes. Can one still get ovarian cancer if they don't have ovaries?

Yes, you can actually get primary peritoneal cancer, which acts exactly like ovarian cancer even if ovaries are removed. Keep some medical insurance ready for yearly screenings, as these tests are crucial but can be expensive.

Just when you think you got rid of an organ and are safe, the body finds a loophole! Yes, peritoneal cancer behaves the same way, so we still can't escape those regular doctor visits.

Wait, I didn't even know this was possible! It sounds so strange to get ovarian cancer when you don't even have ovaries, but my biology professor mentioned that similar cells can still develop in the abdomen.

I am a bit confused and scared reading this. If someone has had their ovaries removed, does that mean they still need to get regular scans done, or are the chances very low?
