Can you get medicaid if you have cancer?

A distant relative of mine was recently diagnosed with cancer and the treatment costs are very high. They don't have private insurance. We're exploring options, so I wanted to ask, can one get Medicaid if they have cancer?

Yes, depending on income limits, cancer patients often qualify for Medicaid to cover treatment. While managing the paperwork, try to keep up with short, gentle walks if your doctor says it is okay, as it helps with the stress.

Yes, you can qualify, especially if your income is below a certain level or if you qualify under specific state breast and cervical cancer programs. Speak directly to the hospital's social worker; they handle these applications fast.

You can get it, but the eligibility criteria depend heavily on the US state you reside in and your financial status. Don't waste time trying to figure it out online; contact a local health navigator or hospital billing office directly.

Yes, Medicaid definitely helps cover cancer costs if you meet their criteria. Getting these expenses sorted takes a big load off your chest so you can focus on eating good, comforting food during recovery.

In my experience with relatives abroad, they do have provisions for cancer patients under Medicaid. Don't lose hope, the system has pathways to help people in tough times. Keep your faith strong.
