Can you get malaria from another person?

My colleague in the office was just diagnosed with malaria. We share a cubicle and I spent a lot of time near him. I'm a bit worried, can I catch it directly from another person?

I am actually very new to reading about this, but I think it only spreads through mosquitoes and not directly from sitting next to someone. Can anyone tell me if sharing food or touching someone who has it is completely safe or not?

Nahi didi, absolutely not. It doesn't spread like a normal cold or cough. Bass aap unka dhyan rakho aur ghar me coil ya macchar dani laga kar rakho sab theek rahega.

Direct touching or breathing near them won't spread it, so relax. Just focus on putting mosquito nets on windows and cleaning any stagnant water around the house so mosquitoes don't breed.

Honestly, if it spread by looking at each other, my whole family would have it by now because I haven't slept in three days trying to kill that one mosquito in my room. Don't worry, it doesn't spread from touching people, just from those little flying monsters.

From what I have read, it is not contagious between humans directly. But since our immunity can sometimes be low due to hormonal issues like PCOS, it is always better to be cautious and use mosquito repellents when visiting anyone who is sick.

It only spreads through infected mosquito bites, not from person to person. But please take high fever seriously; when my brother got it, we delayed going to the hospital and his platelets fell badly. Go to a proper doctor immediately if anyone has symptoms.

No, it is not contagious like flu. But keeping your body healthy and immune system strong is very important. I always get regular blood checkups done and keep my blood pressure under control so my body can fight off any infections easily.
