Oh yes, those cold fizzy drinks are basically kidney stones in a liquid form! If you keep replacing water with soda, your kidneys will start making small rock gardens inside. Swap the cola for water, your bladder will thank you! 😂
Please be very careful with soda intake. I used to drink two cans a day and ended up with a severe 8mm stone that required a painful lithotripsy surgery. If you already have back pain or burning during urination, stop the soda immediately and get a doctor's advice.
Drinking soda regularly is not only bad for your health but also bad for your wallet. An ultrasound and kidney stone blood tests can easily cost you Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 5,000, not to mention expensive doctor consultations. Better to drink simple tap water filtered at home and save your hard-earned money.
According to my fitness tracker's nutritional database, soda contains high amounts of phosphoric acid and sugar, both of which are high-risk triggers for calcium oxalate kidney stones. I highly recommend tracking your water-to-soda ratio and aiming for zero soda if possible.
Actually yaar, yes, the phosphoric acid in sodas is a major culprit. It changes your urine chemistry and makes mineral crystallization much faster. Try switching to fresh jaljeera or coconut water when you hang out with friends.
