Can you get eczema at any age?

My friend's mother recently developed some skin rashes that look very much like eczema, and she's in her late fifties. I always thought it was something only young children get. Can you get eczema at any age, or is it more common in specific age groups?

Don't fall for online claims saying a specific diet or home remedy cures age-related eczema. The triggers for a child are very different from an elderly person's dry skin issues. You must verify your symptoms with a qualified dermatologist rather than searching for cures on internet forums.

Oh my god, yes, it can literally appear out of nowhere at any age! My aunt got it in her 60s and we were so confused because we thought it was just a childhood disease. It makes me so anxious thinking anyone in the family could get it anytime, but thankfully it is manageable with the right dermatological care.

Haan, bilkul kisi bhi age mein ho sakta hai. My grandmother got these dry, itchy patches on her legs last year, and the doctor said it is senile eczema. Age badhne se skin dry ho jaati hai na, toh jaldi chemical products use nahi karne chahiye.

I just recovered from a severe bout of hand eczema that started suddenly at age 32. I had zero history of skin issues before this. It was a tough few months, but switching to a soap-free cleanser and applying prescription ointments daily cleared it up completely.
