Can you get dandruff if your bald?

My head is completely bald, so I don't have much hair to speak of. Still, I sometimes feel a bit of itchiness and see some dry flakes. Can you get dandruff even if you are bald?

I shaved my head last month thinking all my scalp problems would disappear, but I am still seeing tiny dry flakes. Is this normal? Has anyone else who is bald gone through this, or is my skin just weird?

Yes, even without hair, the scalp skin is still there and can get dry or oily. I have seen that practicing Sheetali pranayama helps cool the body from within and improves skin health. A gentle massage with organic coconut oil also helps keep the bare scalp nourished.

I totally get how frustrating and embarrassing it is to see flakes even after losing or shaving your hair. You feel like you can't win. Just know that it's just skin shedding, and it doesn't mean you are doing anything wrong. Hang in there.

Don't worry, buddy, it is actually quite common. Dandruff is a skin issue, not a hair issue, so even a bald head can shed dead skin. Just wash your scalp with a mild moisturizing wash and don't scrub it too hard, it will settle down.

I totally get it, it must be so annoying to deal with flakes when you don't even have hair to worry about. Sometimes the exposed skin just gets irritated by soaps or dry weather. Please be gentle with your scalp and use a soft moisturizer.

Haha yes, the scalp still needs love even without the hair! 😅 Just apply a nice light moisturizer or aloe gel after your shower to keep the dry skin away. It's super easy to manage once you get into a routine! 👍

I noticed my scalp health improved when I started managing my stress and blood pressure with daily walks and a low-salt diet. If your bare scalp is flaking, it could be simple dryness or a reaction to weather. Keep an eye on your overall lifestyle and get regular health checkups.

My skin gets extremely dry and flaky because of my thyroid levels, and it affects my whole scalp too. If you are bald and still getting heavy flaking, it might be worth getting a basic blood test or consulting your doctor. Sometimes internal hormonal imbalances cause this skin dryness.

Actually, yes! Dandruff is often caused by a fungus called Malassezia feeding on sebum, which is still produced by your scalp glands even if you are bald. Try using a gentle face wash on your head or a mild anti-dandruff wash once a week, and remember to use sunscreen up there.

Arey, I shaved my head to save money on shampoo, and now I have to buy expensive scalp moisturizers! Life is funny like that. Yes, even us bald guys get flakes because our scalp skin gets dry from the direct sun and wind.
