Can you get cavities filled with braces?

I have braces, and it's already a bit difficult to clean my teeth properly with them on. I think I might have developed a small cavity. Can dentists fill cavities when you have braces, or do they need to be removed first?

Oh, tell me about it! Eating sticky sweets with braces is a struggle, and that is exactly how I ended up with a cavity. My dentist managed to fill it easily even with the brackets on. Just try to cut down on the sugary treats so you don't have to go through it again!

Yes, fillings can be done during orthodontic treatment. Depending on the cavity's location, the dentist might work around the brackets or temporarily remove them. Your orthodontist is the best person to coordinate this, so schedule a joint consultation.

I actually had to get a filling done last month while having my braces on. My orthodontist just took off the wire for a bit, the dentist filled the cavity, and then the wire went back on. It was super chill and didn't take much time at all, so don't stress.

Yes, absolutely! It is very common and the doctors handle this all the time. They might just pop the wire out for a few minutes to do the filling. You'll be back to smiling in no time! ✨

Since I manage diabetes, I have to be extremely careful with dental infections because they heal slowly. Yes, you can get fillings done with braces, but you must keep your blood sugar in control first. Focus on low-sugar meals to prevent further decay during your orthodontic treatment.

At the dental hospital where I go, the orthodontist and general dentist coordinated the whole thing. They coordinate to remove the wire or bracket temporarily if it blocks the cavity. You should clearly ask your orthodontist about the best timing for the filling.

You shouldn't leave any cavity untreated while wearing braces, as food particles get trapped easily and can accelerate decay. Even if it seems difficult with the brackets, a qualified dentist will know how to safely handle it. Get an appointment booked right away to prevent nerve damage.

I tried rinsing with clove oil and warm salt water to avoid going to the dentist with my braces on, but it only delayed the inevitable. Home remedies can give temporary relief from sensitivity, but the cavity won't disappear. Go to your dentist; they can easily fill it even with braces.

Please be very careful and don't delay the filling. I ignored a small cavity under my brace wire, and it grew so deep that I ended up needing an emergency root canal which delayed my entire orthodontic treatment by months. Get it checked and filled by your doctor immediately.

Haan bilkul, ho jata hai. Humare yahan bhi doctor ne pehle wire nikal diya aur aaram se masala bhar diya daant mein. Bilkul chinta mat karo, bas acche doctor ke paas jao jo dono kaam dhyan se kar sakein.
