Can you get asthma from something you do?

I work in a textile factory, and there's a lot of dust and fumes sometimes. For the past year, I've been experiencing chest tightness and difficulty breathing at work. Can you get asthma from specific things you do, like a job?

Oh yes, completely! Activities like working in dusty places, using strong chemical sprays, or even heavy smoking can trigger asthma symptoms. Be safe! 🌸

Yes, like sweeping the house with maximum enthusiasm and inhaling all the dust! In all seriousness, doing things in highly polluted or dusty areas can definitely trigger it.

Haan, bilkul ho sakta hai na. Agar aap bina mask ke pollution ya mitti mein kaam karte ho, toh lungs pe pressure padta hai. Safety rakhna zaroori hai.

I know it feels scary to think that something you did caused this. Please don't blame yourself, but yes, exposure to occupational dust or chemical fumes can sometimes trigger occupational asthma.

Yes, I got severe breathing issues because of my carpentry hobby and inhaling wood dust. I stopped doing it without a proper industrial mask and my lungs are finally feeling normal again.

Yes, exposure to dust and chemicals is a major cause. Wearing a high-quality N95 mask while cleaning or in traffic helps a lot.

I ignored my cough while working in a paint factory for years, thinking it was normal. Now I have chronic asthma. Please get a checkup immediately if your work involves dust or chemicals.

Exercise-induced asthma is a real thing that happens during intense workouts. If your doctor allows, keep doing light walking to build lung endurance safely instead of intense cardio.

I always worry if using scented candles or room fresheners in my closed bedroom is giving me asthma. It really makes you overthink every little daily habit, doesn't it?

Yes, even using strong chemical cleaners or perfumes at home can trigger attacks. I had to stop using aerosol sprays completely because it was affecting my son's breathing.
