Can you get asthma as a teenager?

My younger brother has been having some breathing issues lately, especially after playing cricket. My mother is worried it might be asthma since our uncle also has it. He's only 15, so we're wondering if it can start at this age.

Yes, children can develop it during their teenage years too. While you consult a doctor, practicing steam inhalation with a drop of eucalyptus oil can help clear the nose and chest blockages naturally.

Yes, teens can get it. Just keep an eye on their diet too, as processed foods and high sugar can sometimes increase overall body inflammation, making asthma flare-ups worse.

I got diagnosed with asthma when I was 16. It was annoying at first during sports, but once I got the right inhaler from my doc, I was back to playing football without any issues.

Absolutely, onset can happen during teenage years due to allergies or dust. It's highly recommended to consult a pulmonologist for a proper spirometry test rather than self-diagnosing.

Yes, teenage asthma is quite common due to hormonal changes and pollution. Don't worry, with proper inhalers and care, most teens live a completely active life.

Yes dear, many teenagers develop asthma suddenly due to dust, pollen, or stress. Just make sure they carry their inhaler to school and avoid sudden cold drinks when they are wheezing.
