Can you get arthritis in your eyes?

I have rheumatoid arthritis, and sometimes my eyes feel very dry and irritated. My doctor mentioned it can affect other body parts. Can arthritis actually affect your eyes directly?

Beta, the eye itself does not have bone joints, but diseases like rheumatoid arthritis can cause severe dryness and redness in the eyes. Washing your eyes with clean, cool water can soothe them, but please show an eye specialist immediately.

Yes, autoimmune arthritis commonly links to eye inflammation like scleritis or uveitis. Don't waste time on home remedies for eye issues. Go straight to an eye specialist and get a proper diagnosis.

Yes, arthritic conditions can affect eye health. As a diabetic, I know how sensitive eyes are to systemic inflammation, so keeping blood sugar low and eating antioxidant-rich foods is very important for eye protection.
