Can you get arthritis in your elbow?

I've been feeling a lot of pain and stiffness in my elbow lately, especially when I try to straighten my arm fully. My mother has arthritis, so I'm a bit concerned if this could be an early sign for me too. Is it common to get arthritis in the elbow?

Yes, you can get arthritis in the elbow. Please don't trust random YouTube videos telling you to twist your arm or apply magic balms. Verify it with an orthopedist and get a proper X-ray done first.

Yes, elbow arthritis can happen. My son had severe elbow stiffness after a cricket injury, and we had to be very careful with his therapy. Ensure you don't lift heavy things until a doctor has examined it.

My elbow started aching from writing non-stop during semester exams and I got scared. Turns out it can be arthritis if it is chronic, but mostly it is just strain. Better to get it checked if the pain doesn't go away.

Yes, elbow arthritis is quite common. I track my gym workouts on my fitness app and log any elbow joint pain to make sure I am not overtraining. A proper brace can also help support the joint.

Yes, you can get it in the elbow. An orthopedist can easily diagnose it with a physical exam and a basic X-ray.

Yes, elbow arthritis can cause stiffness and pain. Along with your doctor's treatment, doing gentle elbow bending and rotation movements (joints play) very slowly every morning helps keep the joint lubricated.
