Can you get arthritis in your ear?

My right ear has been feeling stiff and sometimes achy, almost like a dull joint pain. I have arthritis in my knees, so I was wondering if it's possible to get it in your ear as well? It sounds a bit strange, I know.

Yes, it is possible but very uncommon. Please consult an ENT specialist who can guide you properly and help you find relief.

Yes, the tiny bones in the middle ear can be affected by arthritis, though it is rare. When my daughter complained of deep ear pain, our ENT specialist checked her thoroughly to rule out any joint issues. Please consult an ENT.

I didn't even know ears had joints to get arthritis! Thankfully our ears are mostly cartilage, but those tiny hearing bones can rarely get affected. Don't worry, a quick doc visit will clear up the mystery.

Yes, my doctor mentioned that autoimmune arthritis can occasionally attack the cartilage of the outer ear or the tiny joint in the middle ear. If you have ear pain or hearing changes, please get a proper clinical checkup.

Yes, systemic arthritis like rheumatoid arthritis can sometimes affect the tiny incudostapedial joint in the middle ear. Since this can impact hearing, getting a professional evaluation from an ENT doctor is highly recommended.
