Can you get a tattoo with psoriasis?

I'm thinking of getting a tattoo, but I have psoriasis, mainly on my elbows and knees. Someone told me it's not a good idea to get a tattoo with this condition because it can make it worse. Is it safe to get a tattoo if you have psoriasis?

I totally get it, dealing with psoriasis makes you feel so conscious and it is hard when you just want to get a normal tattoo. But please be careful, as the trauma of the needle can sometimes trigger a new psoriasis patch in that exact spot. Take care of your skin first.

With my PCOS, my skin gets highly sensitive and prone to inflammation, so I am always extra careful. With psoriasis, there is a known reaction where any skin injury can cause a new flare-up. It might be better to discuss this with your dermatologist before deciding.

Beta, psoriasis means your skin is already fighting an internal battle. Putting chemical inks and needles on it can cause more damage and irritation. Apply natural virgin coconut oil to keep the skin calm and avoid these modern tattoo trends until your skin is healthy.

I have mild psoriasis on my elbows. When I wanted a forearm tattoo, I chose a spot that had never shown any signs of psoriasis, and luckily it healed well. But I strictly avoided the areas that flare up because my skin there is very thin and flaky.

Actually yaar, psoriasis and tattoos are a tricky combo. There is this thing called Koebner phenomenon where a tattoo needle can cause a new patch to flare up right over the ink. Better to talk to your doctor before booking any tattoo artist, seriously.

I was researching skin conditions recently and found out that tattooing with psoriasis can be risky. The physical trauma to the skin often triggers a healing response that can turn into a new plaque. It is definitely something to think twice about and consult a professional first.
