Can you get a ssi check for asthma?

My asthma has been quite debilitating lately, making it hard for me to work regularly. A relative in the US mentioned something about getting financial support like an 'SSI check' for chronic conditions. Is there any similar government scheme or financial aid available in India for people with severe asthma?

Getting government aid usually depends on how severe your lung function is and if it stops you from working. Keeping yourself active with light exercise like cycling can help manage your stamina, but you definitely need a proper medical file. Better to consult a specialist to understand the exact disability criteria.

Haan na, asthma is so tough to manage, especially in winter. For government support, they check if it is extremely severe and not getting controlled. You should talk to a local government hospital doc to get the right certificates and understand the process.

In my experience, standard asthma rarely qualifies for direct financial support unless it has caused major, permanent damage. I managed my chest tightness a lot through regular, gentle pranayama like Anulom Vilom. Please check the official government schemes for respiratory disorders to see if you fit the criteria.

To qualify for any health-related government allowance, you need a certified spirometry test and records of frequent hospitalizations. It is not easily approved for mild or moderate asthma. Keep all your prescription files and emergency room slips ready before you apply.

I have seen this query come up often. Yes, but only under very strict conditions where the asthma is chronic, severe, and fully documented by government doctors over months. Go to a civil hospital and ask for the social welfare desk, they will guide you on the paperwork needed.

Haan, options toh hote hain par paper work bohot zyada hota hai. They need proper reports showing your lungs are seriously affected, na? Normal asthma par nahi milta. Ek baar kisi sarkari hospital ke medical board se confirm kar lo.

Honestly bro, my cousin tried applying for disability support for his severe asthma, but the criteria is super tough to clear. Unless it totally stops you from doing any basic job, they don't approve it. Better to ask a government doctor directly about the certificate.
