Can you get a low-grade fever with a migraine?

I suffer from really bad migraines sometimes, and lately, I've noticed a slight feverish feeling when a migraine is coming on or during the attack. Is it common to have a low-grade fever along with migraine headaches? I'm trying to understand if these symptoms are related.

Ah, the joys of getting older, my head already acts like a pressure cooker during migraines! Sometimes I feel super warm and sweaty during an attack, but when I check with a thermometer, it's barely 99. It is mostly just the body reacting to extreme pain, but do keep a tab on it.

When my sugar levels fluctuate, I get bad headaches that feel like migraines, and sometimes my body temperature acts up too. I have to be very careful to eat my meals on time. Make sure you are hydrated and check if your diet is triggering these headaches.

Oh god, I had this last week and I was so scared that it was some brain infection! It turned out to be just a bad migraine episode combined with a mild throat cold. If you are feeling very anxious, maybe just call your doctor once so you can sleep peacefully without stressing.

Typically, a true migraine does not cause a physical fever. If you are running an actual low-grade temperature along with a severe headache, it could point to a sinus infection, viral flu, or something else. It is always best to consult a neurologist or general physician to get a proper diagnosis.

My teenage daughter suffers from severe migraines during her exams, and she often complains of feeling hot and feverish. I always give her a warm cup of ginger tea and make sure she stays off screens. If the fever stays for more than 24 hours, we go see our family doctor.

I get these awful migraines where I feel totally feverish and nauseous. My doctor told me that migraine can affect how your brain regulates body temperature, which is why we feel hot or cold. I usually just put a cool damp cloth on my forehead and lie down in a dark room.
