Can you get a fever in the summer?

Everyone always talks about fevers during the monsoon or winter, but I've been feeling quite unwell with a fever lately, and it's peak summer right now. Is it common to get a fever in the summer season too, or usually not?

Of course you can get a fever in summer, it is actually very common due to heat stroke or sudden temperature changes from AC rooms to hot outdoors. Stop drinking ice-cold water immediately after coming from the sun. If you have a high temp, go visit a doctor.

Haan na, summer fevers are the worst! The intense heat outside and then sitting in full AC makes our body temperature go crazy. Just try to drink lots of simple kokum sharbat or water, and rest well, ho na?

Yes, summer viral infections and water-borne bugs are very active during this season. Also, extreme heat exhaustion can present as a fever. Make sure you drink boiled water, eat fresh home-cooked meals, and consult a doctor if the fever doesn't subside in two days.

It is so difficult to deal with a summer fever. To help cool the body, you can try placing a damp cotton cloth on your forehead and drinking barley water. However, please consult a local doctor if you feel very weak or if the temperature rises.

I remember getting a bad summer fever last year and feeling so isolated and frustrated because everyone else was enjoying the holidays. It is physically and emotionally draining to be sick in this heat. Please don't beat yourself up, just focus on resting.

Our elders always say that drinking tender coconut water helps reduce internal body heat during summers. Still, if you are running an actual fever, it is always safest to visit a clinic and get checked for any viral infections.

Yes, heat exhaustion in summer can easily push your body temperature up. I'd highly suggest avoiding any outdoor running or heavy training sessions during the day. Just stick to gentle indoor walking if you feel better and your doctor permits.
