Can you get a fever from tooth pain?

I've had a terrible toothache for two days now, it's really unbearable. Along with the sharp pain, I'm also feeling a bit warm and unwell. Is it possible for severe tooth pain to cause a fever?

Yes, a dental infection can definitely trigger a fever, which is quite stressful. When I had thyroid fluctuations, my immune system was a bit weak and a simple tooth issue caused a high fever. Please get it checked by a dentist and do your regular blood tests to make sure your overall health is fine.

If you have a fever along with tooth pain, it means there is a proper infection or abscess in your gums. Don't just sit there and ignore it by taking random pain killers. Go straight to a dentist and get it treated before the infection spreads.

Please see a doctor immediately. I once ignored a minor toothache and a mild fever, and it turned into a severe bone infection that required a complex surgery. Fever is a clear warning sign that the infection is spreading beyond your tooth.

A dental infection causing a fever will definitely drain your physical strength. Skip any heavy gym sessions or running for now, and only stick to very light walking if your doctor allows. Prioritize getting the dental issue sorted out first.

With my high blood pressure, any dental infection or severe pain can easily stress my body and spike both my BP and temperature. It is very important to get regular dental and health checkups. Don't take tooth pain lightly, visit a professional.
