Can you get a fever from too much sun?

I was out in the sun for several hours today during a temple festival, and I didn't feel so good afterwards. Now, I feel a little feverish. Can staying out in the sun for too long give you a fever?

Yes, too much sun can cause heat exhaustion which raises your body temperature. However, please get it checked by a doctor immediately if you feel dizzy or confused, as severe sun exposure can lead to heat stroke, which is a serious medical emergency.

Haan bilkul, dhoop me zyada der rehne se body heat badh jaati hai aur fever jaisa lagta hai na. Try drinking cool nimbu paani and sit under the fan. But agar temperature zyada hai, toh doctor ko dikha lena chahiye, risk nahi lene ka.

With my thyroid issue, my body already struggles with temperature regulation, and spending too much time in the sun makes me run a mild fever very quickly. It's always a good idea to consult your doctor and maybe get your blood levels checked to see if any underlying issues make you sensitive to heat.

Yes, our Indian summers can easily give you a fever if you roam outside at noon. A simple solution is to keep onions nearby or drink buttermilk regularly to keep the body cool. Just stay indoors during peak hours and let your body recover naturally.

Yes, prolonged sun exposure can easily spike your temperature due to dehydration and heat stress. If you have a busy week ahead, don't waste time trying slow remedies; drink ORS immediately, take a cold shower, and consult a doc quickly if you still feel feverish tomorrow.

When you train or spend too much time under the hot sun, your body's cooling mechanism can fail, leading to an elevated core temperature. Make sure you hydrate with electrolytes during your outdoor sessions to prevent this. Rest well and avoid heavy workouts until your temperature settles.
