Can you get a fever from not eating?

I've been trying to diet for a few days, so I skipped a lot of meals, aur abhi thoda weak feel ho raha hai. My body also feels slightly warm. Can not eating properly for some time make you develop a fever?

With my PCOS, skipping meals completely messes up my blood sugar and makes me feel extremely weak and hot. I sometimes get a low-grade feverish feeling when my immunity drops due to poor nutrition. It's best to eat small, regular meals, but do check with a doctor if the fever stays.

Skipping food for long periods can weaken your digestive fire and lower your immunity, making you prone to infections that cause fever. I always suggest having at least some warm vegetable broth or light moong dal khichdi. Never keep your stomach completely empty when feeling weak.

During my younger days, I used to keep strict fasts and occasionally ended up running a mild temperature. It is just the body's reaction to extreme exhaustion and low glucose. Don't worry, just have some sweet coconut water or warm milk, and your strength will return.

While extreme fasting or starvation can alter your metabolic rate and make you feel chills or hot flashes, a true fever is typically caused by an underlying infection. It is hard to distinguish on your own. I'd highly recommend consulting a physician to get an accurate diagnosis.

Please don't assume the fever is just because of a missed meal. It could be an early sign of a urinary tract infection, viral flu, or something else entirely. It is much safer to visit a general physician and get a basic blood test done if the temperature persists.

No, a proper fever doesn't just happen because you skipped lunch. Your glucose levels might crash, making you feel cold, shaky, and sweaty, which people often mistake for a fever. Eat some carbs, drink water, and if your temp actually reads above 100 on a thermometer, go see a doctor.

Why are you not eating in the first place? Starving your body will obviously make you sick and weak, and then any small virus will easily attack you and cause a fever. Eat some simple home-cooked food right now and take proper rest.

Oh no! Your body is probably just angry at you for empty stomach! 🥺 When we don't eat, our energy levels crash big time, making us feel super hot and shivering. Grab a sweet banana or a warm bowl of soup, you will feel much better! 🍲

If I skip even one meal, my head starts spinning and I feel like I'm running a 104 fever! Honestly, our bodies are not designed for extreme hunger. Treat yourself to a nice, warm plate of idlis and see if that feverish feeling miraculously disappears.

When you crash-diet or stop eating, your body's glycogen stores empty out, which can mess up your thermal regulation. You might feel feverish or have severe chills. Focus on getting enough macronutrients even if you are trying to lose weight, and don't skip meals.

I literally went through this last week during my hectic office launch. I was barely eating one meal a day and woke up with a 99-degree temperature and severe weakness. As soon as I started eating proper meals and drinking juices, the feverish feeling vanished in a day.

Bhai, jab shareer ko takat nahi milti khane se, toh woh andar se bohot kamzor ho jata hai. Is wajah se halka bukhar lagne lagta hai. Thoda sa garm daliya kha lo aur aaram karo, sab theek ho jayega.
