Can you get a fever from heat exhaustion?

After spending a long time under the scorching sun at the market today, I started feeling very dizzy and nauseous. My head feels really hot and I'm sweating a lot. Is it possible to develop a fever from heat exhaustion?

Yes, you can feel very warm and run a temperature if you're out in the sun too long. Along with resting in the shade, try having some cooling foods like buttermilk, barley water, or cucumber juice. Avoid heavy, spicy meals right now as they can increase internal body heat.

Yes, heat exhaustion can definitely spike your temperature. If it crosses 103 degrees or if the person stops sweating and feels confused, that's a medical emergency called heat stroke. For mild cases, cool them down with wet towels and give electrolytes slowly.

Indian summers are basically a free sauna we never asked for! Yes, your body can overheat and give you a temporary 'fever'. Just hug your AC, drink your weight in nimbu paani, and don't try to be a superhero in the afternoon sun.

Oh, it is incredibly scary when your body suddenly heats up and you feel dizzy from the sun, I totally get it. You feel like something is seriously wrong with your organs. Try to sit in an air-conditioned room, put a cold pack on your neck, and call a doc if the anxiety or fever doesn't drop.

Absolutely, heat exhaustion can disrupt your body's thermostat and show up as a fever. If you've been out in peak afternoon hours, this is classic. Get indoors, drink ORS immediately, and if your temp doesn't drop in an hour, head to a clinic.

Hey, don't stress too much about it, okay? It happens to the best of us when we stay out too long in this crazy weather. Just get some ice-cold water, splash some on your face, and chill under the fan. You'll be totally fine, just rest up today!
